Barney Fixation
This morning Kooky wanted to watch DVD, so I chose Your Baby Can Read DVD for her and when the show started, she started screaming “I wan Barney, I wan Barney, BOO HOO, Barney!!!” with her usual throwing herself on the bed and whacking her arms and legs about….she is really a mommy bully this girl hmmm so I had to stop the Your Baby Can Read DVD and play the Barney DVD for her.
In another incident while I was brushing her teeth, for a change, I decided to sing for her…
“This is how we brush our teeth,
brush our teeth,
brush our teeth,
early in the morning”
but with the toothbrush and paste in her mouth, she started going “Barney, Barney, Barney, Barney”. At first I couldn’t understand her. I stopped and said, “What?” to which she replied “Barney” and I said “Barney?, oh I see, you want me to sing the Barney song”. She nodded her head and looked at me doe-eyes.
So I had to sing
“Oh Im brushing my teeth on top,
its so much fun I hate to stop
but while Im brushing my teeth
and having so much fun
I never let the water run……”
hmmmm amusing…

Thai Glass Noodle Salad
My brother’s Thai ex wife came to visit with my nephew last weekend. She made us Thai Glass Noodle Salad in memory of my late mom. (It was one of her favourite dish and my ex sis-in-law used to cook it for her) We had improvised the dish since the break up years ago but last week, she came and made the original. Delish!

Sick
Here is a photo of sick Kooky. Since we went swimming last weekend, she has been having a slight fever, running nose and phelgm the past few days, her fever hovers around 37 to 37.4. She still sleeps pretty well through the night and is pretty much her energetic self during the day. Thus other than the medication, life is as normal as ever.

cousins
Hubs is away, this time he will be away for 4 weeks. So its Kooky and me by ourselves. For the past few days Kooky has been asking to go swimming, she keeps saying “mummy, i want to go swimming” then she will make the swimming action around the house. So when I found out that my brother is having a staycation at sentosa with his ILs, I jumped at the opportunity. There are many kids because my SIL has a big family. Too bad, I did not take any photos of us swimming but here is one of the kids during milk feed. As a thanks of hospitality, I bought chocolates for all the kids, the adults love them too, it was a hit those German chocolates.
I didn’t know that they were going to celebrate cousin’s Julia’s birthday. She is turning 12, one more year to go before she become a teenager. At the end of the day, there are chocolate crumbs on all the beds. lol. ok I admit my fault I brought the chocolates. lol.

Finally Fetterfield 2009
Wow, Fetterfield is over. I can’t believe it. The first Fetterfield event in 2006 was the same year me and Hubs got married, the second Fetterfield event was in 2007, I was into the 8th month of carrying Kooky, the event was organized all through my pregnancy with Kooky. We didn’t do Fetterfield in 2008 because I was busy taking care of Kooky and now Fetterfield 2009 Kooky is having fun following us around the events, except on the day I had a bout of food poisoning, she stayed home with me.
What happened? I thought websites live forever, apparently not. I just discovered that my Your Mother Gallery website is gone, vanished.
What happened to GeoCities. CruUmpPpps…….**waves fist in the air**…..

Whaddayaknow….
Hubs bought a new camera, his criteria was that it must fit into his pocket but I think the camera looks way better on little kooky than in his pocket. I’m jealous, it’s a leica minox miniature, now they both have no reason to borrow my crappy old digicam. Good news is that finally my crappy old digicam is mine, all mine, I don’t have to share with them anymore….muahuahua…

The one about the Dollhouse…
The GIRL in Kooky is surely becoming more distinct, soon after she turns 2 years old, she has demanded for a dollhouse. We have a story book in which there was a picture of a dollhouse, after reading it to her for the first time recently, now she will search for this book in her library, she will turn the pages then she will point to the dollhouse and screams “i wan, i wan, house, house, arrrrrrhhhhh sob sob, boo hoo, i wan house…..eeeeeeeeckk sob sob boo hoo”
She will throw herself on the bed, kicking her legs and turn on her water pipes. “i wan i waaan” So now the dollhouse is on my shopping list. Just this morning we went to the market and there are some cheap toys in a bin, some as low as 30cents, so i let her take her pick, I was nudging her to choose the helicopter thought it was interesting as it had some moving parts but guess what!!! OMG she chose a little doll, a barbie imitation comes with a comb too and the worse part of it, it was BLONDE! This mommy almost had a heart attack. Must be television! OMG! Help me!

Food critic
Do not buy the curry puffs from that nearby posh looking alfresco cafe, $2.80 though it looks huge, the filling inside is a total misery with lots of vacuum space.

her first sentence
Being a working mom, i know that i will missed many of her firsts…first whatever, I also don’t know.
Anyway this morning, I hear Kooky say her first full complete sentence. Me and Hubs were going to bring her to Hindoo Road. She was sitting on top of Hubs shoulders. Usually when we bring her out, we would take the taxi. But this morning Kooky says suddenly, “I want to take a bus” kekeke. So Kawaiiiii. Of course she didn’t get what she wanted, we still took the taxi. kekekeke.

When we first dated….
Hubs and I having crabs to celebrate our first dates 12 years ago. On one of our first dates, we went to celebrate a friends birthday and every year since, on our friends birthday, I will tell Hubs, “do you remember this date?” and of course we both could never forget. For me, I could never forget this date, because it was awkward, mostly were his friends and I hardly knew anyone or what the hell they were talking about. So alienated, but love lor so what to do. Really stuck to him like glue that whole night. So we celebrate this date as the moment we both starting dating.
I wanted to have crabs today, I remember when I was pregs I was really craving a lot of good seafood and ice cold drinks. We ordered the chilli and pepper crab cos I love them both.

Yummy!
Finger lickin good, Fruit Flan Cake, wrapped with white chocolate. Everyone loves but Kooky refused to eat the fruits LOL. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, dragon fruit, peaches and the stupid teddy bear candles that I impulsively bought, what a coincidence that the teddy bear candles matched with the cake.

Today is Kooky’s 2nd Birthday, goodness we’ve come so far. Have to keep reminding myself that this is just the beginning….I’ve ordered a cake which I am going to pick up later after work, hope I can escape a little bit earlier. Want to get some balloons and a prezzie for her as well. Thank goodness the office is in the central now, can grab all these last minute things. Then after dinner, we are going to have an intimate celebration for her at home. She is so special, my little special ger….Mummy pray Allah watch over you in everything you may do, I wish you most a life of happiness with memories to cherish as I have of you. I love your lovely cuties smiles..Mucks!!

picnic
Last weekend we had a birthday picnic at East Coast. We celebrated the two girls birthday, their birthdays are a week apart. The birthday cake was homemade by my BIL. he also made other goodies, like cookies, shortbread, chocolate truffles, he’s quite a baker. My SILs, prepared the other foods, like bbq, noodles, chicken curry, etc. Hubs and I being the slackers in the family, brought crackers, peanuts and cordial syrup. yah we didn’t even have to prepare the ice or water, or dispenser, just bring the syrup cordial. hehe.

Very Busy
This is the blog of an extremely busy woman….yes, nowadays hardly have time to blog, even tempted to shut it down sometimes. Anyways, I have finally found a breather to upload photos from Hari Raya. Kooky is so happy that she gets to go jalan-jalan with her cuzzies and boy does she loves the sweets. Lucky girl, when she wakes up in the morning, somebody in the house will give her either a cookie or a cake to eat, then she will want it for the rest of the day. She will try her luck and refuse her dinner asking for a cookie or a cake instead, pointing her finger saying “ini, ini, ini”. So exasperating. Hubs has not bought a new baju since the last three years OMG!. Ok back to the grind again……

Search, search, search
I finally found the Pre Nursery School for Kooky. After much research in the neighborhood, I’ve decided. However the principal has informed me that we have to wait until Kooky turns 2 and a half years old, which means we will have to wait until April 2010 before she can start school. Yeah! Now I am wondering what we can do with her in the meantime, i’m feeling she’s real bored at home.

F1 is coming…..vrooom vrooom….
Brought Kooky to art class, the theme was F1 party, we made a racing car out of simple materials and then there was a race among the little kids. The fastest and most steady car won a prize, Kooky’s car was so woobly, thanks to my craft skills. hehe.

This weekend we also hang out with my ILs and Kooky played with her little cuzzie. They really adore each other.

On the homefront, I have also changed my dad’s physiotherapist. Our first session was last Saturday, I already like him much better. Dad will be seeing him twice a week and hopefully the physiotherapist is able to come on a weekend for one of the sessions so that I will be able to be present.

PlaYTime! and choc cake
Brought Kooky for PlayTime! again. Really good, except that i find this new production too short, only 30 minutes! The first one (Tiger Loses Its Stripes) we went to was 45 minutes which was better.
Anyway compared Kooky’s reaction, she certainly fared much better for this second PlaYTime! She was a little cautious when stepping into the dim theatre the first time and quite resistance to interact with the performers songs and dance. She was more relaxed and responsive to this PlaYTime! Yah!

After PlayTime! we went for tea and I got ourselves a Chocolate Cake. I think she went crazy after her first bite of the chocolate cake. She certainly loves chocolate because of the Oreo advertisements she watches on TV.

Me and my kooky monster…

Its me and kooky for the next two weeks, Hubs is away…. although before he left for the trip he did spend lots and lots of time with little kooky. Bringing her out most of the week while I was at work, and we spent the whole weekend going out. We went to Botanic Gardens on Saturday and East Coast on Sunday. And we also had dinner with friends on Friday and Saturday. So I am terribly exhausted….

lunchdate
Just came back from lunchdate, hubs brought kooky to have lunch with me near where i work, hubs brought nothing! he really shocked me! no daper bag, no diapers, no wet wipes, no towels, no water bottle, no snack, no pacifier, no spare clothes. nothing! ok i remained cool. anything he punya pasal as this is his style. never mind lunch time quite short….after lunch on way back to work, he was going the same direction, he decides to buy Kooky yakult, since she never had enough to drink during lunch as there was no water bottle.
He bought the grape flavor, paid for it and poke the straw and pass to Kooky. She refuse to drink, but she kept pointing to the yakults on display proclaiming “ni, ni, ni” in Malay means ‘this, this, this”. So hubs kindly carried her and let her pick out the one she wants. She picks another flavor, Hubs paid and poke the straw and gave it to her, Guess what! Kooky Monster refuse to drink again and kept pointing to the Yakults and going “ni, ni, ni”…
…
…..kekeke LOL shiok age gua tengok suami kena bulli….. kan pandai sangat……..(translate to english, basically I had a good time watching my clever hubs being bullied by my kooky monster) kekekek lol
